Biography

I completed my B.Sc. in Biology in 2022, followed by an M.Sc. in Molecular Biosciences with a major in Systems Biology at Heidelberg University in 2025. During my studies, I became increasingly interested in computational approaches for studying complex biological systems and in the analysis of high-dimensional transcriptomics data. After an internship and my Master's thesis in the Saez-Rodriguez group, working on MISTy and ParTIpy, I joined the Saez-Rodriguez and Tanevski groups as a PhD student in 2025.

Research Interests

I am interested in developing machine-learning approaches to learn interpretable representations of tissue organization, cellular states, and tissue remodeling from spatial omics data. My research focuses on methods that capture biologically meaningful structure across spatial scales and help relate computational representations back to the underlying molecular and cellular processes.
