I’m a sequencing expert, turned project/grants manager.
As a tech development geek with more than 10 years of experience in field of long-read and short read genomic sequencing, I have been at the forefront of genomic technology, first at the Genomics Core Facility at EMBL, Heidelberg then later at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab at Rockefeller University, New York.
The last years I have been working away from the bench and sequencing field as a project manager for the University Children’s Hospital Heidelberg organizing Covid-19 studies for children and overseeing the application of the Heidelberg’s site to the German Center for Child and Youth Health. Now I’m back to research taking care of anything grants related in the Institute of Computational Biomedicine.
